How Musical Memories Works

Typically I meet with elders in their assisted living or residential care facilities.  I usually conduct the session in the person’s room, so it’s ideal for people who can’t leave their rooms easily, or those who prefer individual interaction to group activities.  I coordinate with the facility’s Activities Director or Social Worker to ensure that the sessions don’t conflict with care or other activities that may be provided.

The length of the session can vary, depending on the person’s energy level and mood on any given day.  Usually after a visit or two, I get a sense of the most appropriate session length for that individual.  Single or multiple sessions may be scheduled, and no contract is required.

$30 for sessions up to 30 minutes
$60 for sessions lasting 30-60 minutes
(Travel time may be added depending on location.)

Fees may be paid by the elder’s family or caregiver or through the facility’s Activities Budget.
